ASEPTICAE TEXTIL® is a treatment for textiles that inhibits microbial growth in clothing, shoe interiors, helmets or fabric or leather gloves that has been developed with the technology of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and offers 99.94% effective antimicrobial protection up to after 5 washes.
ASEPTICAE TEXTIL® consists of a preparation of inorganic salts and anionic surfactants that inhibits microbial growth, whose active principle is ionic silver (Ag +), a highly efficient, broad spectrum and biocompatible antimicrobial.
Shake before use. Apply to absobent fabric. Recommended dose 10g/m2. Excess material can be removed with a brush or a cloth. Do not use the garment until it is dry and the smell stops. Spray only in closed facilities, or provide good ventilation to the room in order to prevent the spread of aerosols.
If stored below 0 ° C, the product may solidify. After heating to 20-25ºC and mixing well, the product can be used again without any problem.
If stored above 30 ° C, the product may separate or settle. After cooling to 20-25ºC and mixing well, the product can be used again without any problem.
The product is sensitive to light and must be protected from direct sunlight. To avoid loss of quality, it is necessary to always close the drums after use.
What type of textiles is it recommended for?
Its effectiveness has been tested on all types of fabrics: woven, natural, synthetic or mixed.The product is especially suitable for work uniform, boots, helmet lining or gloves.
How many washes does it last and how was it tested? What are the washing instructions?
Tested with a program at 40ºC using a commonly detergent and fabric softener it maintains antimicrobial properties after 5 washes. It can also be hand washed as normal.
Does it have any odor? Does it add color once applied or does it change the gloss? Does it affect the touch once applied?
The liquid has an alcoholic odor, however, when it dries the odor disappears. It doesnt add color nor does it change the brightness or touch.
This product has been tested against Proteus mirabilis offering an initial efficiency of 99.99% up to 99.94% efficiency after 5 washes. The mechanisms of action of ionic silver consist of paralysis of protein synthesis, inhibition of DNA synthesis, and inhibition of cell wall synthesis. It has also shown efficacy against other very common bacterial genera such as E.coli, S. aureus and methicillin-resistant S.aureus among others.
